Today is a Sweet Sunday. I am THRILLED to be sharing with you this SUPER fun project that incorporates cool decorating and something very special to hang in your home. I created these for our Sweet Young Women to give their parents for Christmas this year. It is an unbelievable project that has hardly cost any money and personally I am in LOVE with it.
I started with a board that is 9" wide and 11" long. I got these boards at Home Depot in their scrap section AND they cut them for me! I ended up with 16 cut boards for $4.00. It seems unbelievable!
I put Mod Podge on one side and stuck down the Proclamation that I am providing. I printed it off using my tissue paper technique that you can find here.
I then painted all of the sides of the board blue, obviously my choice of color but you can pick anything you want. I brought the paint up on top of the paper SLIGHTLY. I didn't paint it before I put the tissue paper down because I wanted the texture of the wood showing through.
When dry sand slightly and rub with an ink pad for an aged look.
I finished it up with several coats of Mod Podge. This project turned out amazing. I hope you are inspired!
XOXO

This is sized at a 8x10. If you interested in a larger size please let me know and I can resize or add a family name for $10.00
