In last weeks post I covered a very basic knot hairstyle. Over the next couple of weeks I will be sharing with you several different options to build off of that one basic knot. A hairstyle that looks complicated but actually very simple.
Start by parting the front half of the hair forward and pull the rest of the hair in a pony tail.
Next, take the front portion of the hair and part it into two seperate sections, off centered. You hairstyle will start with the largest section.
Take a small piece of the section and tie it into a knot.
After the knot is tied, you will take a small clip and clip it right on top of the knot to hold it into place.
Comb the piece of hair down into the other hair and section off another piece with the hair from the previous knot.
Tie another knot and move the clip down to the second knot. The first knot is now being held into place and the clip will hold the second knot until you make a third knot, and repeat.
When you tie your final knot, you can spray the hair with a ton of hairspray and place a tiny clear rubberband in the bottom to hold it. Repeat on the following side.
This is what the hair will look like with the knots finished. From here, you have a couple of different options to complete your hairstyle. 1) Curl all remaining pieces and put bows on each side of the hair or 2) If you are in a HUGE hurry {extremely late for church} pull it back into a messy bun and add an adorable hair accessory and Voila, Super Cute Hair & a grumpy little girl.
Voila another adorable hairstyle!
Let me share a little something about our family. I have been blessed with one beautiful daughter. She is the youngest in our family and is a little spoiled being the only girl after having two boys. One of my favorite things to do with the Peanut is experimenting with her hair. I have some really great hairstyles that I am excited to share with you whether you are a beginner or a pro. Join me every Monday for some fun hair tutorials. The first one today is VERY basic, you will be asking yourself why is she showing me this. And... This is why, I have so many hairstyles that I build off of this one basic concept. Have fun with it and experiment, you will be amazed at what you can do with a basic KNOT!
Start by parting the front half of the hair forward and pull the rest of the hair in a pony tail. When that is finished you will part the front section into three separate sections (Left, Center, Right).
Here is the kicker and when I say easy, I mean easy, take one of the sections and tie it in a good ol knot. You know the kind of knot you learn in kindergarten when you tie your shoes. I secured mine with bobby pins and sprayed each knot with hair spray. Repeat for the three sections.
This is what it should look like from the front.
I curled the back of the hair into ringlets, smoothed them out. AND...
how to on this ADORABLE Hairstyle!
Have you joined me as a neighbor yet?
XOXO
